The ABA therapy process at Capable Cubs begins with a thorough Assessment conducted by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) after the child receives an autism diagnosis from a qualified professional. This in-depth evaluation, spanning multiple hours, includes parent/guardian interviews, client observation, and direct testing to comprehensively assess the child's current skills and deficits.

Following the assessment, the BCBA at Capable Cubs collaborates with the child's parents in Treatment Planning to address deficits and enhance existing skillsets. The treatment plan meticulously outlines key goals and recommends the appropriate number of treatment hours per week. Early Intervention in Bergen County is an integral component of the intensive family support services program. However, due to its limitations in providing the required therapy, many parents have transitioned their children from this program to Capable Cubs.
